Event: 2025 Trivia Night with Andy North, an Andy North and Friends event

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Event Date: February 24, 2025

Impact: Andy North, a cancer survivor and two-time U.S. Open champion, along with his wife Susan, launched the Andy North and Friends initiative in 2008 to unite friends and raise money for the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, one of the nation’s top cancer research institutions and Wisconsin’s only comprehensive cancer center. The Carbone Cancer Center previously provided care to North. Today, the initiative showcases the Center’s cutting-edge research at fundraising events across the country. So far, Andy North and Friends has raised over $16 million to advance cancer research at the Center.

Exact Sciences’ involvement: As presenting sponsor of the 2025 Trivia Night with Andy North, Exact Sciences reinforced its commitment to advancing cancer research and supporting the communities where its employees live and work. Madison, Wisconsin-based employees joined in the fun, competing for the event’s coveted trophy: a stuffed badger (Wisconsin’s state animal).

“It fills me with pride to be part of a company making such a significant impact in the fight against cancer while also building stronger community relationships,” says attendee Ashley Strong, medical training associate director at Exact Sciences. “At events like this, Exact Sciences strengthens our collective efforts to eradicate cancer.”

The event raised $130,000 for cancer research at the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center. Exact Sciences took home the stuffed badger trophy.
