The updated 2008 American Cancer Society (ACS) colorectal cancer screening guidelines include stool DNA (sDNA) testing as one of the new recommended test options. The updated guidelines were a joint effort of five organizations that included the American Cancer Society, the US Multi-Society Task Force on Colorectal Cancer and the American College of Radiology.

sDNA testing is the first and only molecular diagnostic colorectal cancer screening method recommended by the ACS.
